APW - Hampden, Special Railway, 23J, 18S, heavy 14K gold box hinge HC recase with beautiful engraving and engine turning detail, rear shield with idyllic lakeside house scene, gold cuvette, fancy white and pink enamel SS dial with gold foil decoration, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, jeweled barrel arbor, two-tone gilt and nickel damascene, s#1447646. Gross weight of assembled watch 93.0 dwt (144.7 g). A beautiful watch throughout with case showing hardly any wear and movement having superbly preserved two-tone color.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, setting mechanism clicking when turned in counterclockwise direction, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, very strong two-tone color, plates with some scattered very small surface spots, few micro-fine scratches, third wheel jewel setting with replacement non-gilt screws; dial with small hl above seconds-register, small edge nick near 9; excellent but mismatched hands; case shows hardly any wear; no dents or dings, superb engraving and engine turning detail with only slight reduction of engine turning at portion of shoulders; tight bow thinned at bit at top, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
